EVP Evidence!!
Good quality EVPs tend to be one of the least debunked forms of paranormal evidence, and Debbie Caruso's EVPs are pretty amazing.
Debbie Caruso has been recording EVPs since her teenage son Joey died in a car wreck in Mexico years ago, and has complied a website with a great collection of EVPs, including her making contact "her own son" and other loved ones whom had passed.

But what is really interesting to me are the new technologies to communicate live.

So what is your take on this?

What is a Superbox?
Dave's Superbox is a GE Superadio III with a built-in function generator. The radio has been modified so the function generator controls the tuning voltage of the radio.![]()

What is DC6?
DC6 "LIVE" recording software allows you to hear what you're recording 1/4 second later which makes it possible to answer spirits as you're speaking ....

Re: Paranormal, Cryptid, and UFO Evidence & Personal Account
I think personal experiences are also important to share in this thread. Interest +1.
For example, even though it seems contrived, I had an experience last night when after listening to all of those EVPs and things, I went out back to have a cigarette.
Walking outside, I wasn't freaking out, looking for ghosts or paranoid in the slightest bit though, my wanton need to smoke a cigarette was priority. It was probably about 2 in the morning.
I turned on the outside porch light, went outside, and lit a cigarette, took a drag.
I fucking froze as I heard a distinct two taps on the back sliding glass door. I've heard the sound before from the kids or wife or whatever tapping on the backdoor with their fingers or a toy or something. So I know that's what it probably was, the reverberated panes of glass on the backdoor (but of course, no one was there).
But what was really unique was that at the same time I heard those two taps, the porch lights dimmed for a split second, they didn't flash or go completely black or anything but significantly dimmed for about half a second.
I felt that feeling of someone staring at me, and I cringed. A second or two after the initial shock, I was like ugh. My skepticism kicked in about MY OWN EXPERIENCE, maybe me cringing over due to the noise made the lights "seem" to dim, the two seemed to happen simultaneously.
Anyways, this experience reinforced my belief that if you are totally shutoff and ignorant to the spiritual world, nothing happens.
But since I was looking into it with an open mind, maybe even "fucking with it", results can occur.
I also feel there's a complete difference between expecting something to happen (the dumb sense) and kind-of "mind-melding" with the spiritual world.
Do you think some part of the brain making us believe something is happening or that some part of the brain is opening up and allows supernatural things to come forth?

Re: Paranormal, Cryptid, and UFO Evidence & Personal Account
Some of us must always be open. I've had things happen whether or not I was thinking about it or not. All my life pretty much.
One time that stands out most is one time I was playing Starcraft with some friends of mine (online, I was alone in the room) and we were all just having fun. Nothing paranormal was on my mind at all. Had a few good days in a row iirc without much happening. The guitar sitting against the wall on the other side of the room started to strum. No one else there at all.
Shit used to happen to me 24/7. Maybe it was always on my mind because I was always worried about it but I don't think I would have started being worried about it 24/7 if it hadn't been relentless.
I plan on posting quite a few stories in this thread as well.
Going to track down a copy of that software that allows you to hear with a delay. Sounds useful. I have always wanted to get a "ghost hunting" team together. Cliche I know but I still want answers and to bring the paranormal to more people. I have a handheld sony with IR night vision and a handheld tape recorder that uses digital taping. Might be a good start.

Re: Paranormal Evidence & Personal Accounts!!
Watched Ghost Hunters International tonight, I've been following this season.
It seems one of their favorite pieces of equipment is a Full Spectrum Camera, which captures every kind of light from infrared to UV. Does anyone have any examples of this actually working because it hasn't caught anything besides tonight, a shadow looking outside a window.
Because it was a window, I think it could be escaping infrared light from the floor being blocked by the window or UV light reflecting off the moon through the window. It appears that GHI also uses an infrared flashlight as well as the camera, because it all appears in purple/violet.
Also, they used a Singapore Theory, in which paranormal investigators recreate environments to hope fuel paranormal activity. Seems like a useful technique, not sure if its too corny to fool ghosts or if it just manufactures the person's brain to perceive more activity.
Finally, have you seen that flashlight test? I've seen it a few times prior to the kids from Ghost Hunters Academy going overboard with it. It seems to function similar to a K2 meter or tri-field, where the investigator asks a question and receives a response using a twist-style flashlight.
Also it appears as if the whole orb theory is always going to be perceived from the paranormal society as dirt or light anomaly from now on. Susan caught two large orbs which she really thought were Hilter's face tonight, but they were quickly dismissed. RIP orbs.

Re: Paranormal Evidence & Personal Accounts!!
The full spectrum thing is fairly new and is hopefully able to record things our eyes cannot see and regular video cameras cannot see. Looks good on paper. Maybe someday it will catch no other method has.

Re: Ghost Evidence & Personal Accounts!!
I think so too, but also adds more variables to cause anomalies, like UV rays from the sun reflecting off the moon or infrared light expelled from greenhouse effect.
I am not sure what the right definitive answer is to making people believe there are ghosts.
EVPs work for me, I don't see how the clear and obvious ones that come out as a response can be debunked. Its not like you constantly hear babbling words after recording.
There's always some guy there to say a photo or video is mist or swamp gas etc.
FLIR seems interesting too. At least when you are exploring woods, you will see critters.
